Creating a VM

VM on Demand+ lets you create and delete virtual machines on demand.

  • To create a VM, go to the Dashboard panel and click the CREATE VM button.

  • You can set the name (must be unique), the machine type, the flavor, and assign the VM to an existing project.

  • The creation of the VM can take up to 5 minutes.

  • After the VM has been created, you will be able to see the information about the VM.

Understanding Your VM

  • To generate an overall report on the VMs you have access to, click the DOWNLOAD REPORT button.

  • To see the information of a specific VM, click on the target VM, then click on the Usage section in the Dashboard panel.

  • Here, you will be able to see the the uptime, CPU/GPU time and utilization. To generate a report on the specified VM, click the GENERATE REPORT button.

Logging In

  • You can start an SSH session from your machine by copying the SSH command to your clipboard. Alternatively, you can use the Mini Terminal section or OPEN WEB TERMINAL to start an SSH session from the browser.

Turning Off Your VM

  • If you have a VM that you are not currently using, click the TURN OFF button in the Dashboard panel to deactivate the VM.

  • Please allow a few seconds for the VM to turn off.

Deleting A VM

Deleting a VM is permanent and unrecoverable. Make sure to back up any data into a Volume before deletion.

  • Click on the DELETE VM button in the Dashboard panel to delete the VM.

  • Click YES to confirm the deletion of the VM.
